Highlights and Successes

  • Over 275 students have graduated from the program since 2004
  • More than 75 industry professionals at the Director, Vice President and CEO levels have participated in the program as course director and guest speakers.
  • Attendees participate in a semester long group project culminating in a Critical Path to Commercialization (CPC) report and presentation. Students work hands on with real technologies to help advance the value of an invention.
  • Program graduates have participate in industry internships through opportunities facilitated by the Center for Biotechnology. Participating companies have included OSI Pharmaceuticals, Forest Laboratories, Proctor and Gamble, InGenious Targeting Laboratories and others.
  • Successful graduates of the program secured work in a diverse range of positions both in the academic sector and in the bioscience industry. Some examples include: Regulatory Affairs professionals, Sr. Scientists and Sr. Management Professionals at major Pharamceutical Companies, Scientific Advisors at esteemed law firms, Analysts for financial and venture firms, and more...
  • Supportive program corporate partners have included leading bioscience companies: Pfizer, Pall Corporation, Forest Laboratories, BristolMeyers Squibb, Acorda Therapeutics, Cornerstone Pharmaceuticals, OSI Pharmaceuticals,Target Health and more.
  • A robust Alumni Network has been created by program graduates which offers opportunities for ongoing professional career development, social interactions and professional networking opportunities as well as internship and job opportunities to program graduates.
