The Long Island Life Sciences Initiative (LILSI)

LILSI is a regional trade association focused on the attraction, retention and development of life sciences firms on Long Island, and aims to address issues of strategic importance to the growth of the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and life systems technology (nutraceutical, personal care) industry sectors. Center for Biotechnology
A New York State Center for Advanced Technology in Medical Biotechnology

The Center for Biotechnology is a cooperative research and development partnership between universities, private industry and New York State. It is involved in the discovery and early stage development of commercially promising technologies resulting from academic research, and the creation of strategic infrastructure that promotes the growth of the life sciences industry.

As a founder of the Long Island High Technology Incubator Program (LIHTI), the New York Biotechnology Association (NYBA), and most recently, the Long Island Life Sciences Initiative (LILSI), the Center continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing the competitive position of New York’s bioscience’s industry.
