The third largest raptor in the park, after the Serpent-eagle and the Harrier Hawk. The top is brown and the belly is white with brown lines. Wings are black. Legs are yellow. Head brown, bill black.
Little is known. It catches birds and has been observed to eat Avahi laniger (Goodman, 1993).
