This is the largest snake at RNP and can sometimes be found sun bathing in a tree, but more frequently coiled up quietly on the forest floor. It is nocturnal.

Total length: 2.5m.

Eats small lemurs (Hapalemur griseus, other lemurs are wary in its presence) and other mammals.
