This small chameleon can be found during the day on the forest floor, or climbing a meter or two above it. In Talatakely is the most easily found of the three Brookesia species in the park.

Total length: 8-9.2cm.(Glaw, 1994) Average weight 1.2g(), 1.6g(), dark brown body, well marked horizontal spines, enlarged "eyebrows". Non-prehensile tail. (UEA, 1995)

It roosts at night on low branches. Eggs incubate in about 60 days. (Glaw, 1994) Roosting between 25-35cm (UEA, 1995)
