There were early reports of Brookesia stumpfi and B. thieli in the Park, but the University of East Anglia Chameleon Expedition did not find them in '93 (B. antoelrae may be synonymous with B. thieli). The UEA expedition also found an undescribed species of chameleon, called by them Sp. a, presumably Calumma sp.1 The study was done between November '93 and January '94. In Oct. '97 Lee Brady and Richard Griffiths also found C. glawi at both Talatakely and Vatoharanana.
